Hello all! Let's make patchwork blankets <3 this will be a series of swaps where you will send and recieve 12 inch squares and hopefully by participating in enough you will be able to stitch them all together to make a blanket <3 There is an international version of this Swap in the yarn addicts group :) you will make and send one 12 inch square. There are many patterns on ravelry if you need ideas! save the squares you get so you can join them into a blanket! (or pillowcases) there are a lot of different joining methods that can be looked up on YouTube if this is something new to you <3 remember to wash the squares before joining so any size discrepancies are known before joining! squares are senders choice! Use any colors you wish, add whatever appliques or make it how you want! This also means that you can start on your square when you sign up :) please be sure the yarn you use is in good condition. You want this to be a comfortable yarn for your recipient, so maybe using vintage red heart or the likes wouldn't be the best choice. no smoke smelling yarn! This is open to crochet and knit and would probably work best if everyone tried to use worsted (weight 4) acrylic yarn to make joining and washing easier and to avoid any wool allergies <3 If you end up finishing a blanket please post a link so we can all see! I've started a group for all yarn crafters please check it out and join so I can get some swaps going!
I will most definitely angel this swap. Please contact me ONLY AFTER you've contacted your partner to try and work something out and have rated a one. If there's no resolution with your partner then message me and I will send you your swap! <3 |
