Take an old wool sweater that you don't use anymore, or get one at a thrift shop. Felt it by washing the sweater in warm water with a little detergent in the washer, then dry in the dryer on high heat till fully dry. It will shrink and all the fibers will be tightly matted into a dense thick fabric. Then make something for your partner out of the felted wool. Tote bags, hot mats, slippers, pillows, whatever your imagination comes up with. The sweater must be all wool (which includes mohair and cashmere) to work right. Google felted sweater crafts for ideas. You must have a rating over 4.6 and no recent no-sends. Newbies must have a completely filled out profile. Contact me if any questions. |
