As we approach the season of eating đ letâs share our favorite recipes with each other! For this swap youâre going to make a lovely envelope with a tag closure following this video found HERE. We are going to make the last one, with the pocket and belly band (or two pockets). The tag closure can be attached any way you wish: ribbon, thread, fabric, chain, etc. Please make your envelope look like it could be a Georgian Christmas gift. Make the recipe cards look Georgian as well. The recipes, however, are going to be your modern favorites!! We will include a minimum of 4 recipes (appetizer, main dish, side dish and dessert) they do not need to make a cohesive meal or be necessarily for Christmas, just so long as they are your âgo-to-everybody-ravesâ recipes! â¤ď¸ The envelope dimensions to use for holding 3x5 index cards: 5 1/2 inches wide and 9 1/4 inches (or longer depending on how big you want your flap) in length. From the bottom of your envelope youâll make your first fold at 3 1/2 inches and the second fold at 7 1/2 inches. This leaves a bit of space before the top fold-over. Depending on what size paper you use will determine how much extra you have to make your pockets, tag, etc. It will work with both a standard size sheet or a 12x12. Double sided would be best, otherwise just be sure to decorate the inside as well. Please include a note to your partner letting them know why you chose the recipes that you did (not in character, just as yourself). I hope you enjoy this swap and please donât hesitate to ask us any questions!! Anna, Jane & Nickalli |
