Description:

I did a similar swap years ago and thought it would be fun to try in the group. It's along the lines of the Inspiration Kit swaps we've done here in the past. This will be a 2 part swap/challenge.

Part One:

You will send a stash of 5 things to your partner that they will use to create something with.

Some ideas:

  • washi sample(s)
  • tags
  • die cuts/punchies
  • ribbon/fabric snippet
  • book page
  • ephemera
  • photo
  • mini envelope
  • embellishment
  • stamped image
  • scrapbook paper piece(s)

Part Two:

Once you get your swap from your partner, please rate them. You will then create something with the challenge items your partner has put together for you. You may use some of your own supplies in addition to what they send you, but you must incorporate all of the items sent by your partner. You may not be able to use the entire item, but you must use as much as you can. For example, if they send you a book page, you aren't likely to need the entire thing. Your finished project should have a portion or most of each of the 5 pieces sent to you.

Once you finish your project, snap a pic and email to your sending partner so they can see what you've come up with.

This is a fun challenge not only for yourself, but it's also inspiring to see how someone may have a totally different take and idea on the things you pick than what you may have come up with.

When sending, please include a note with the swap name, your ID and your email so that your partner can send you a pic of their finished work.

Obviously you will rate and be rated on part one of the swap (sending the 5 items), but the whole idea of the swap and a lot of the fun comes from sharing your finished project. Please be willing to do both parts when signing up. I want this to be fun for all.

Happy creating!
