Hello! :) I thought now that the group has grown in numbers it would be lots of fun to do a second round of this swap and it would be lovely if many of you participate. Here is how it works... You will have 2 partners for this swap and you’ll mail them: -A letter (handwritten as it feels more personal I think, what are your thoughts on this? if you prefer it typed please say so on the comments section for the swap) -2 postcards of ‘’your island’’ -A little something from the area In your letter please tell your partners a bit about yourself and also some fun and/ or insightful fact about the island you live / grew up in. Just some examples … you might wish to tell your partners about your favorite restaurant or bookshop, a childhood memory, a tradition you are very fond of… whatever you wish! The main thing is to make your partner smile and that after reading your letter they will think ‘I feel I know more about this place now’. For the little something from the area you could send a bookmark, a small tourism brochure of the place, some chocolate/candy, a recipe … it is sender’s choice so my only advice is please check your partner’s profile to avoid sending anything included on their dislikes’ list. There are no specific requirements to join this swap as I know you all are honest swappers so I’m positive there won’t be any flaking on swaps. Have fun and let’s share with one another our heritage! P.S = Picture taken from the Internet; it shows Mayor Island (NZ) |
