Description:

Patrons! It's time for another swap 😊 This is once again a smaller flat mail swap, so it shouldn't cost too much to send. If I look at our postage stamps, I'd say around 2 stamps = 50 grams in an envelope should suffice! More is always okay, but not necessary.

As our challenge of the month is to use envelopes, that's what we'll do! We will be creating a penpal project out of envelopes (for inspiration, see patreon) and filling it with little goodies and a letter. What you make is up to you: an envelope flipbook, envelope stack, envelope tag flip, a pocket letter filled with little envelopes or anything else you can think of. Mind you: simply filling a bunch of little envelopes with goodies is not enough, it needs to be a little project!

In short:

  • Make a penpal project out of envelopes. The project itself is senders choice: so any style and type you feel comfortable with. Decorate the project, and make it personal!

  • Fill the envelopes with little goodies: a washi tape sample, some stickers, tea, die-cuts, little doilies, embellishments, paperclips, tags, notecards, labels, more envelopes... You name it! It doesn't have to be a big swap, so just include whatever you'd like to receive.

  • Write a letter for this swap. It can be difficult to write to someone who is not a penpal, but maybe you can introduce yourself, talk about hobbies or where you live and what you do. Mention how many penpals you have or if you do swaps more often, thoughts/feelings during the making of the swap, inspiration you used etc etc. I like including a little note about my day so far, very random but I always enjoy reading little personalized notes!

  • Mail your swap out in an envelope, preferably decorated but it doesn't have to be a masterpiece. If you can't make the deadline or encounter any problems, please message your partner first and then me as well.

Most importantly: have fun! These swaps are a great way to try something new and send out mail to someone you don't know (yet): reading someone's profile always inspires me to step outside my comfort zone! :)
