This is a good idea, but I think you should include a requirement of filled out profiles. I was just having a look at yours and I don't think I'd be able to fill out a comp book based on what I saw. Not enough info!

I've got it on my watchlist, will be checking back closer to sign-up deadline

denise364 03/13/2009 #

Agreed! Awesome Idea! BUT your profile would be a huge challenge if you were my partner........ and not sure if I get the "don't type the whole journal" if it's a "composition" book .....

Thanks will do.

Could we use a different type of notebook. I have tons of blank journals lying around and instead of purchasing something new it would be great if I could use something I already have.

Melovespaper 03/14/2009 #

Yes.

Hello-I just joined this site today. I saw this swap and I too think it is a neat idea however, perhaps a detailed list of questions could be filled out and provided to the swap partner? I also agree with the request to use something I already have as I have many journals. Thanks.

  • Favorite type of food = italian
  • What would you like to learn more about? uh... I don't really know... your favorite crafty type things I guess. You could put in some "how to" things.
  • Favorite way to keep in shape? Walking... I've been debating yoga but haven't done it yet.
  • What are some of the things you would like to see in your journal = Well, I'm on a real Paul Rudd kick right now and I've been watching all his movies so things having to do with him would be cool. I love movies, you could recommend some, put in reviews and your opinions about them. I like photography, crocheting, beachy type things, anything Italian/French/Greek, old buildings, cool architecture, you could post some pictures from around your town... Read my profile, PM me if you have any questions.

  • Favorite type of food: I like chinese and italian :) But I love all recipes and alter them for my own likes/dislikes. So anything is fine. I'm allergic to sugar substitutes, so no recipes that are considered "light" or require these chemicals :) Sorry to restrict...
  • What would you like to learn more about? I'd like to learn more about the daily values of what youshould eat eat day as a woman. I'm trying to lose weight. I'd like to learn about more diferent kinds of crafts. I scrapbook all the time and it's such a wonderful stress reliever. :D I love music and all different kinds so I'd love to hear some of the music you like and maybe some different music you hear at your church, temple or mosk; depending on your religion.
  • Favorite way to keep in shape? Swimming, walking, wii fit :)
  • What are some of the things you would like to see in your journal? I guess some little extras on the pages that you think I'd like...photos( I love landscapes, sunsets, architecture) stickers, scrapbook stuff, articles about crafts, about healthly weight-loss, patterns for projects, recipes you like that you make for your family! Crock pot and dessert recipes are the most fun :) Reccmend some movies you like or Books, I love books. I'll leave a list of crafts I do. Read my profile and PM if you have any questions :o)

Favorite type of food-- Chinese, Japanese, Mexican and Italian. Also a big fan of anything quick and easy to prepare, but really unique.

What would you like to learn more about? I would like to learn how to make sushi, crochet, and do origami (I've tried so many different types of origami instructions and still can't seem to "get" it... if you have any super-easy, foolproof ones to share, that would be awesome!)

Favorite way to keep in shape? swimming, walking, bicycling, "incidental exercise" (walking instead of taking the elevator, parking far away from your destination, etc.)

What are some of the things you would like to see in your journal. I love color, texture, and layers, and really creative layouts, with lots of fun little "tidbits" of art and/or text tucked in the nooks and crannies! :)
