Outside the side kitchen door of the Rose & Crown is a humble little garden. Mrs. Wallis herself would tell you she is not the best gardener, but she does well enough. As the mornings are getting brighter earlier, she’s been enjoying taking her tea out at the little iron table. It is set off to the side of the garden path where she can enjoy the mild sunshine on her face, listen to the birds and enjoy the signs of spring appearing everywhere. She often brings her journal out with her to write down her observations and sketch the new blooms as they appear. Let’s celebrate spring as well! We’ll be using THIS tutorial as inspiration to make an index card with a clear-ish pocket. Her colors may be darker than what you like - just use this as inspiration and decorate how you wish. The only requirements are: index card sized (3 x 5 inches) and a clear-ish pocket on the front (vellum, tracing paper, cereal bag liner, etc.) Glued or sewn is fine. The theme of your index card will be Springtime and include 3 items in your pocket to send to your partner for her journal. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. |
