Saucer Swap for Single Saucers It's not that I collect saucers but I do use them daily. Arthritis in my fingers keeps me from being able to use pretty little tea cups. My fingers don't fit so I use small mugs and pair them up with saucers from broken cups. I love them! Saucers are readily available in thrift stores and on Etsy (search term orphan saucers). For this swap you will send one (1) saucer. A saucer is defined as a small porcelain, glass or china plate that has the indentation for the cup to settle in. Not a candle plate, not a coaster and not a small dish. Sender's choice as far as color and design. It can be vintage or not. It can be plain or not. No chips, cracks or stains of course. Part of the swap requirement is to package it in bubble wrap and mail it on time in a box. .......... Swapper requirements: Rated 4.95 or higher and ZERO no-sends. It bugs the other swappers to have someone included in a swap that has 1's. Don't ask me to make an exception for you when the other participants are expecting higher standards. Fair is fair. For this swap I'm allowing newbies! I know it's hard being a newbie and here's your chance to start out right. Please, if you don't really have the time, or you've already signed up for a bunch of swaps don't sign up. I always check just before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings, hasn't logged on recently, or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers. I read profiles and comments, check forums and flaker/problem groups. |
