My Dear friends,
The weather has taken a chilly turn this week and I long for company. I propose a dinner and card party on Wednesday next and hope to see you all. Our last card evening was such fun, I know you will all be as eager for another as I am myself. In the meantime, let us continue crafting our own unique deck of playing cards.
This shall be a progressive swap in which we make seven cards at a time, we shall all be making the same cards, so there is no confusion about who has received what. We will continue with the suit of hearts and craft the seven, eight, nine, ten, Jack, Queen and King of diamonds. The face of the card should depict the number or Royalty on the card and the suit, but the back of the card may be decorated as you like. To keep the cost of postage down, these cards should not be heavily embellished, nor should there be any protruding pieces over the edges so they may be stored easily. You may make the backs of all seven of your cards the same, or you may choose to be creative and assign a different design to each of them. The choice is the sender’s in this swap. Use your imagination, add a little whimsy by making the royalty prominent people of our time or use those lovely fashion plates for your images.
To give the fine details, we will be making seven playing cards which are the size of an ATC which is 3 ½ x 2 ½ inches or 9 x 6 cm, we shall be making the Seven of Hearts through the King of Hearts for this round. The back of the card is sender’s choice in design, the front should give a clear depiction of the suit and number/royalty of the card.
Let’s have fun with this swap. If there are any queries, please do ask, we are all happy to assist.
With kind regards, Lady Elizabeth
