EPUSA: Scraptastic #1 Journal Cards Two Ways

Thank you to @colleenfranks for suggesting a monthly scrap series. The purpose of this series is to use what you have to turn scraps into pretties. So, here is the first.

For this swap we will be making journal cards…two different ways.

First, let’s use index cards or 3x5 cardstock to collage. We will make TWO of these. Theme is sender’s choice. Create from a master board if you like. Add stitching, inking,etc. as desired. Index cards are rather thin, so a sturdy backing may be needed. Backsides should be blank for writing.

Second, let’s use magazines or books to find images that would make pretty journal cards. Natasha at Treasure Books shows how she does this process Here Very simple. Images may be need to mounted on heavier backing, again, leaving the back blank. These shouldn’t need much…maybe stitching or inking or some pretty edges with those funky scissors. We will be making TWO of these.
