We had our first INK BOX CARD SWAP last month -- & it was a success! So, let's give it a TWIST ... like we do with our ATC Cards. If you're new to this idea, an ink box card is similar to an ATC in every way except size. Ink box cards are 3"x3" squares, the same size as the Tim Holtz distress inks, & the 4 corners are rounded. That's as much as I know about them, which isn't much. However, I did google ink box cards & found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gic67U_ITes I didn't watch the whole video myself, as these 3x3 cards are made like ATCs, & we know all about them, right??? So, the usual rules apply: an ink box card is 3"x3" with rounded corners. Like ATCs, you start with a light cardboard, such as a cereal box, for a bit of stability. Then create your art by using mixed media, paint, ink, lace, fabric, whatever you like. This is a little piece of art you create & then send to a partner. Be proud of your art & make it beautiful! Here's the TWIST. Each card will be very different, as each card will have a different "theme" or element, which will be the main focus ... just like our ATC Swaps with a Twist. For this month, we will create 3 different Ink Box Cards as follows: Card #1: Add a shaker. To make life easier, I'm referring you to a no-bulk shaker card instructional YT video ...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7oTLUyC95k ..... I used micro beads & glitter to get that shaker sound. Card #2: Add the color green. To make life easier, I'm referring you to a no-bulk shaker card instructional YT video ..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7oTLUyC95k ..... I've used micro beads & glitter to get that shaker sound. On the back of your cards, add the swap name, your name, your Swap-Bot name, & the date you made it, to each ink box card. Please also add your address to the back -- at the very least, your town & state or town & country. (I enjoy looking back at the ATCs etc that I receive & see who made them for me, & I'm sure I will feel the same about these. So if your name & at least your town/state/country is not on it, I will never know where it came from a year from now.) NOTE: slapping on a sticker or 3 is not acceptable, & neither is pasting on a picture. You must do something creative to it! Any questions, please PM me. This swap is open to all members with a 4.98 or higher rating. (And, honestly, we don't have any members with lower than a 4.98 rating.) And do not disappoint me or your partner by not fulfilling your obligation to send 3 lovingly-made ink box cards. But, most of all, have fun! |
