Description:

This is a swap for a filled and decorated 2oz whimsy jar in a birds theme! :) Making such a small one should make it an easy fill with no large space-taker-uppers (unless they're really good ones!) 1 partner to whom you will send a wonderfully filled 2oz whimsy jar in a bird theme! Newbies are welcome with a profile with more info filled in than mine by the time they sign up. Seasoned swappers must have a 4.5 or better with no unexplained no sends and no 1's or 3's in the past 3mos. This should be a lot of fun, and I will be hunting and banning fish! We love the birds it seems--owls and sparrows, etc, so let's make this a really great swap!

Lots of questions..Plastic, glass, what kind of jar Jane? What amount of postage are we to expect, is there a dollar amount or just fill the jar nice and full. I've never seen a wimsey jar. Do you know of a link so I may see one? Thank You Hon. Rita

I would search "whimsy jar" on flickr. I'll leave it up to preference on whether you send a glass or plastic jar. I haven't really seen a dollar amount on a jar swap yet, but I could have missed it, and it depends o n what you put in your jar/etc as to how much postage you can expect. I hope I can be of some help.... very thoughtful questions.

I have never gotten or seen a whimsey jar in person, so I hope I do OK. But is sounds fun, and I like birdies.

If you've never seen one, definitely search flickr before trying to put one together.... i didn't get it either, but you'll be amazed at what you can fit into one!!! The kawaii ones are insanely awesome! Those people fit a ton into their jars!

Im a newbie! Do I have enough of a profile to be included in this?

Bare with me....SO, the idea is that you take a cute little jar, decorate it up & fill it with all things birdy....is that the idea? I searched on flickr & that's the general idea I got, as you can tell I'm new BUT game ;-)

copper... your idea is correct :)

Sorry...it's me again with another question, SO the items in the jar are they birdy 'gifts' or birdy pieces to create birdy art with??

jacksbluejane 04/20/2009 #

the items in the jar are things with birds on them, or toy birds, bird stamps, bird charms, inchies with a bird print... etc :) As an extra, you might send a Fat Quarter with a bird print or something of the sort. Hope this helps! :) Good questions... we all have to learn somewhere.

We do these all of the time on another craft site and you can have a lot of fun putting whimsies in other things rather than jars. If you find a cool tin with birds on it or wooden boxes that you paint with birds. Would that be acceptable here? Can we add other whimsies as well?

jacksbluejane 05/ 1/2009 #

You can put your whimsies in whatever you like as long as it meets the requirements on volume and decor :) which shouldn't be difficult at all.

Everything should be mailed by the end of today! If you haven't already mailed or let your partner know it will be late, then it will be considered late.
