Description:

I am doing it again! This is such a fun swap that I am going to do another one. Getting unusual mail is fun, you never know what to expect.

I am going to make a slight change though. If you'd like to "alter" your item in some way, please contact your partner to see if it is all right with them. If they say it is all right, then go ahead and "alter" it. Keep the message they send you, for your records, if they happen to forget, and are dissatisfied with what they receive.

I am only doing this because this happened to me in my previous Unusual Mail Swap #2, and I'd not like it to happen again. I don't want any upset partners nor hurt feelings in this swap. It's all in fun!

I don't like to be a ratings freak, but I will be checking the ratings of the people who sign up for this swap. Newbies are welcome, as long as they have a completed profile. Those with a rating between 4.00 and 4.5 will need to contact me to give an explanation as to what the reason is for their rating. At that time, I will make a determination whether or not they can participate or not. People with a rating below 4.0, and have a history of many no-sends will be banned from this swap. Please note: I will not angel anyone who does not receive anything from their partner. You will be responsible for contacting your him/her to find out what the reason is. This is a risk you must take.

This is a fun swap, and I want everyone to be happy. That is why communication with your partner is crucial. You do not have to reveal what your item is, you just need to aske if it is okay if it is "altered" in some way. Sometimes a lot of thought goes into the altering, and is meant to make the item more interesting for your partner.

So, in brief, here's what you need to do:

1.You will have one (1) partner. Get an item from the dollar store that you think would make a fun and unsual item to send through the mail. Make sure that it is is strong enough to go through the mailing process.

  1. Send the item via regular post, in it's original package, be it altered or not. Make sure it is well taped if need be.

  2. If you will be late in sending your item, please contact your partner and myself, with the reason why.

  3. Be kind when it comes time to rate your partner. If you do not like what your parther chooses to send, do not rate them with a 3, if they sent it, it is a 5. This is a risk we need to take in this type of swap! If your partenr is from overseas, give the item time to arrive. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY IMPERATIVE!!!!!!

If you have any questions about this swap, please message me privately. Thank you.

Let's have fun sending out Unusual Mail!

Just a heads up - I found out from my clerk at the PO that some of the requirements are getting tougher to send overseas.

thanks sue for the info...let's just say this...for those who get an international partner, it may be better to select an item that is in a box that can be taped, just to be on the safe side! susi

I am supposed to assign partners today, but the option is not ready yet for me, I'll assign them as soon as I am able to. thanks for being patient. susi

Susi, going postal to you today! I'm usually quick on the mailing, but time (work schedule)has gotten the best of me. I've never mailed something like this. So I hope everything runs smoothly! Enjoy!
