I wanted to post an image for this swap but didn't want to steal anyone's personal ideas for captured fairies. If you do a google IMAGE search for "captured fairies" you will see all sorts of great ideas and a basis for this swap. You will make 1 captured fairy in a jar for your partner. The "jar" can be any size or shape you want it to be, and I use the term jar loosly because I've seen these made by inverting a champagne glass over a tea saucer to capture the fairy. The fairy "enclosure" should be made of glass however so that everyone can see the fairy inside. The captured fairy can be any medium you are good with. Paper, polymer clay, felt, etc as long as she is done well. If you are going to do this swap please do it very well. We are collecting these pretty little knickknacks to display and want to be proud of them, so no slapping something together in and hour and calling it good. Really try hard to be very creative and detail oriented for this swap. If you are having a mental block just go check out all those cute little captured fairies across the web. Decorate the inside of the jar AND the outside of the jar. What is the fairy doing inside? How did she get there? Is she serene or hopping mad? Is she confused or does she know exactly what is going on!? As always my swaps are open to "Newbies" with a WELL filled out profile. And to more experienced swappers with a 4.8 rating or higher. Thanks for visiting and have fun with these fairies! |
