Hi swappers! Let's create a gluebook for our partners, measuring a minimum of 4"x6" (a bit larger is fine). HERE is a tutorial by Margarete Miller--great for inspiration! Remember that a gluebook is basically made up of flat collage pages; it's a 'look book' instead of a junk journal, so there's no writing space necessary. Your gluebook should have a minimum of 8 pages (16 if you count front and back), and be bound however you choose. Margarete uses a Zutter machine for binding. No Zutter? No problem. Bind however you choose. An easy way to make a base would be to trim four 8.5"x11" papers down to 8"x6" and fold the 8" side in half. Voila! You've got the correct number of pages and you can bind them with a pamphlet stitch. HERE is a very simple tutorial for a pamphlet stitch. Please add some type of little cover, too. Theme/colors are your choice. Hope you'll give this a try and enjoy the creative process. |
