Description:

What does every Burlesque dancer need? Tassels, of course! Fortunately for us, it's not only unbelievably easy to make them, it's also cheap to do because nearly all of us already have the basic supplies in our stashes.

For this swap, you will be making a pair of "pasties" (the word is misleading, since "pasties" are actually adhesive discs that stick "tassels" onto your boobs). Feel free to embellish them with whatever you have on hand - sequins, ribbon, fabric, trim, beads, feathers and marabou are some of the first things that come to mind. Try your best to produce an outstanding swap, but don't worry overly much... I doubt that any of us are professional tassel designers. We're still learning!

One thing I should caution everyone about is sending a tube of adhesive to stick these things on. One of the most common adhesives for pasties contains latex, which a lot of people are allergic to. If you choose to hunt down something to send with your pasties so that they can be used right off, make sure you check to see if your partner has a latex allergy, or play it safe and find an adhesive that doesn't contain the stuff.

Please remember to list color preferences in the comments or profile. It's not mandatory that your partner abide by them, since the goal is to use what you have, but in case they have a lot of different colors on hand... you get the picture. Also, be sure to measure your aureole so that your partner knows how big to make the tassel. ;-)

Take a look at these sites for instructions on how to make simple nipple coverings:

Have fun!
