Does anyone remember Postalettes? I loved those! I see them from time to time, but they've gotten to be hard to find. For this swap, you can either use a store bought Postalette, a store bought Fold and Seal or you can make your own. Just be sure it is sturdy enough for the mail! (Suggestion to make one below.) International swap, 1 partner. For this swap, letter length should be a minimum of about 5x8 inches (or about A5) in size. You may add an additional sheet and close both ends of the postalette, but the over all idea of these notes is for just the one side of the sheet. It's more than a postcard, but less than a letter. :) I've seen the vintage postalettes for sale on Etsy and Amazon sometimes has the Fold and Mail variety for sale, if you want to get a better idea of what they look like. :)
The topic of the letter is fully up to you. You can talk about your day, comment on your partner's profile, or reply to a letter you've received from them in a previous swap, or something totally new. It's all up to you! If you want to make your own .... I have had good luck with using thicker scrapbook paper and folding it to the size I wish and writing on the inside. If you have an envelope about the size you wish to use, you can always fold the paper around the envelope to get the standard size for mailing. Seal it lightly with washi or a sticker so your partner can unfold it to read. Questions or comments? Please send me a PM! |
