Description:

Last year I was flaked on one of my first swaps, a Macabre button fairy. It seems some of our spooky swaps are tainted with flakage! So I'm on a campaign to make my fellow creepy-spooky-scary-dark type swappers get their dark heart's satisfaction.

This swap will be for one handmade button fairy of the DARK SCARY disposition for each of two partners. In other words, you'll make 2, you'll receive 2 black-gothic-victorian-cemetery-scary-evil button fae in return. They can be witchy, vampirey, wicked, funereal, whatever darkness moves you to make a pair of Very Scary Fairies. For best results, check out your partner's profiles for a hint of what pleases them. Ratings and hearts are at the SOLE discretion of the recipient, but if you don't plan to rate, OR don't plan to do your best work, don't play.

No CUTENESS. Please ask your partners before sending anything Twilight oriented also, since we're not all on that boat.

Think more Vintage, Victorian, Gothic, your generic Bad Fairies. Their smiles are wicked or non-existent. They hang around cemetaries because sadness energizes them. Their wings may be tattered or extremely embellished. They shine with a dark glow. Get the picture?

This will be a no newbies, established swappers with consistent 5 ratings and at least 10 package swaps under their belts. Sorry but part of the point is a safe no-flaking environment for my special creepy swappers! I will ban at my discretion any less than quality swappers, any no-logins, anyone with inexcusable3's in the last year.

Button Fairies are beautiful and I expect these to be also. Put some dark heart into it. Tutorials and photos are easily available for those who can figure out Google or Flickr. If you need your hand held, you're in the wrong swap, but I am more than willing to give a little direction if needed.

We'll allow international because there are some awesome artists across the pond. Sign up by May 8th and send out by June 15. If there's not a lot of interest (less than 4 players) the swap will be cancelled and I'll go cry alone.

ok, I am swap happy, I am dropping this swap just to make room to add one more in April, but I will resign up as soon as I can have one more on my list( still a relative newbie)--but my button fairy for this is nearly complete, and it was a deadly treat to create!

Great idea! I'm going to be a big whiner and say PLEASE no Twilight for me, though! Would love Victorian, vintage or Day of the Dead style fairies.

ChristyC11 05/ 8/2009 #

I'd prefer no Twilight. Other than that I'd enjoy any scary button fairies :)

TerryF 05/ 9/2009 #

I have no preferences, as long as they are "very scary"!

I spent the weekend working on these gals and I'm almost done... had WAY too much fun! This was my first attempt at button fairies, but I think now I need to make about five-million of them, especially since I bought a big jar of old buttons at the flea market on Sat. :)
