We've not really had a swap like this one, so I hope that it is a popular one! Each person will have 3 partners. You will make 1 page for each partner's Book Of Shadows for a total of 3 pages (yes, this pagan likes to do things in 3s! LOL!) So 3 partners plus 1 pages each = 3 BOS pages. These pages could be informational on one side and blank on the other (yes, I encourage using BOTH sides of the paper), or just blank with decorative details on the page, such as symbols, pretty pagan images, or fancy lines for journaling/spellcrafting. AT LEAST ONE SIDE MUST BE BLANK SO YOUR PARTNER CAN USE IT TO MAKE NOTES Here's the tricky part: YOU MUST CONTACT YOUR PARTNER TO SEE WHAT SIZE THEIR BOOK OF SHADOWS IS Some people use a 12" book, some use a 6" book, and others have been known just to jumble different sizes of paper together for a scrapbook appeal. You are required to make the BOS pages according to your partner's size preferences. If your partner has no preference, then the pages must be at least 5 inches by 8 inches. (which you can make 2 pages out of one standard printer paper sheet) You may ask your partners if they have any preferences of type of BOS page, but that is NOT required. The only requirement is that both BACK AND FRONT of the page is somehow decorated/used, and that you follow the size requirements. You may hand draw or colour your pages. You may print them out on a computer, collage or scrapbook them, sew them or glue them. Basically, whatever medium you can make work for you and your partner is good. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT SOME PAGANS PUT THEIR PAGES IN A 3-RING BINDER. Allow for hole punching when designing your pages. (approximately a one inch border on the left side of the page) Because this swap is international, keep in mind that natural materials (such as pressed flowers or leaves) may not be permitted in your partner's country. ASK QUESTIONS! =^_^= Also, make sure that the pages are as flat as possible, so that if they are tipped into an existing BOS, it will fit without bumps. Okay, I think I've covered everything! If not, please pm me! blessings, Gypsy |
