OMG, I can hardly believe that we've come to the final episode of our inkbox book! I don't want it to end! However...all good things must come to an end, so: Do you make inkbox cards? They are so much fun! It's really just another size of small artworks...3-inch squares with rounded corners, exactly the size and shape of a Tim Holtz/Ranger ink pad. I cut the backing into 3-inch squares, then use an ink pad as a template for the rounded corners. I happened to see THIS video by the awesome Margarete Miller, and thought it would be ever so cool to create little inkbox booklets! Let's make a 12x12-inch neutral-colored collaged master board, using a 12-inch square piece of heavy cardstock as the base, cut it into 16 3-inch squares (don't forget to round the corners!), and add a focal image and embellishments to the squares to form a cohesive piece of art. Each swap will be for 2 of the squares. After making the collaged master board, the choice of a theme is up to each artist...the only "rule" is that you must use vintage images for your focal design. When we finish the swap series, we will have 16 inkbox cards to assemble into little book. |
