Description: | |
This is an international swap inspired by both mela's color theme postcard swaps and girlzoot's image theme postcard swaps. For this swap you will send one (1) postcard to three (3) partners. The postcards must be related to books or reading. That would include images of books, bookstores, libraries, authors, authors' homes/birthplaces, advertising cards for book festivals, and homemade cards relating to books/reading. To keep things from getting confusing, all postcards should be sent without envelopes (including homemade), so if you prefer your postcards in envelopes, this isn't the swap for you. This restriction is because I've seen people get rated low because they sent unenveloped and the person stated in the discussion thread that they wanted enveloped, or vice versa. It is just easier for the swap coordinator to make a blanket decision on the envelopes :-) New swappers welcome, but please have a completed profile before signing up. I'm a stickler about having a bit of detail in profiles. I keep an extensive database of swappers from the many swap sites I belong to and will check each new address against it to try to weed out those who don't play nice. Please make sure you include both your username and real name on the postcard, as well as the name of the swap. Also, please try to post acknowledgment on the swap discussion thread below once you receive an item. It keeps anxiety tamed if senders know their postcards have arrived. When it comes time to rate, remember that this is an international swap, so some postcards may take a longer time to arrive. Let's give each other a break and at least try the messaging system before giving out "1" ratings. |
