International You must have a reliable mail service and can generally expect international mail to arrive within 5 weeks. This is an easy handcrafted postcard project. Good for Swap-Bot beginners. It's not a collage, it's one picture that you find that's about the size of a postcard. Look through any magazines, catalogs, old wall calendars, etc and find an interesting picture that will fit on a postcard. Some magazine ideas: art magazines, nature magazines, National Geographic, tourist magazines, photography magazines. This may help you: cut out a 4x6' hole in a piece of larger cardboard, then use the frame as a guide, framing the magazine image to see if it's suitable. Cut-n-paste the picture onto a piece of cardboard, the inner 4x6" cardboard you cut out to make the frame guide. or old cereal boxes, or heavy cardstock. You will be assigned one partner. Send the postcard with a note on the back. I like to write where I got the cut out picture from (as well as a short greeting). Include your swap-bot id and name of swap on the postcard. Tip: Rubber cement is a great glue to use when adhering magazine pages to cardstock. It makes a nice smooth finish. (Thanks e2java for this tip). FYI: I check to see that everyone is rated, and will add a "Finished" stamp to the Discussion section when all postcards are sent, received and rated. For my hosting style see my profile write-up @9o96o I expect meaningful comments. I check comments left on previous swaps and will 'ban' if I see repeated blank comments. |
