Sorry for assigning partners late. Statistics is taking over my life and I've completely lost track of time. :( I'm pushing the send by date back a few days to give everyone plenty of time to complete and send. International, 1 partner, type 3 (time intensive), flat mail / Cost of one stamp to mail. I don't do swaps like this often, but loved the book (& show), and thought it might be fun to have a swap. Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty is a Contemporary Mystery, recently made into a TV series on Peacock in the US. After watching the TV series with my husband, I got the book for a re-read and really felt a connection with the Matriarch, Joy. I wonder if anyone else has had these thoughts? For this swap, either read the book (or listen to the audio) or watch the TV series if it's available in your area. Clicky links are above for the Goodreads page and the IMDB page. Find a used copy of the book, get it from the library, buy it new, whatever works best for you and read/listen/watch. Try to get it completed before you send out the swap, but if you're not fully done, just write about what you think to that point. (If you read/listen and watch, please feel free to share comments about the differences and which you enjoyed better.) (If any of you are Kindle Unlimited members, the book is currently in the plan, at least in the US!) When you're done, or the send by time has come, send your partner a letter talking about your thoughts of the story, the characters, anyone or anything you've connected with. What do you think about what Joy did? If you're a mom, have you felt that way? Have you ever acted on those feelings? Doing this swap during the month of May makes me think of Mother's Day (in the US on May 12th!). :) Questions? Comments? Please send a PM!! |
