Hi swappers . . .

For this swap, you'll be creating a collaged tag for your partner and one element in your collage MUST BE a paint swatch piece that you create!

I think the tag above is gorgeous; it was listed as coming from The Graphics Fairy.

Your tag should:

  • measure 2.5"x5" up to 3"x6"

  • have a sturdy base

  • have a covered back with your info there

  • some treatment at the top of the tag (textile, cluster, etc.)

Theme is artist's choice.

I am not sure what is meant by the requirement of a "paint swatch piece that you create". Could this be something created with a paint swatch card from a retail store? Or does this mean paint swatches we would make with paint?

Hi Martha! Yes, paint swatches you create. Just draw or trace rectangles on a small piece of cardstock and paint inside them with watercolors, acrylic, gouache, etc. You may name the colors in tiny letters if you choose. Does this make sense?
