This swap is a double. You will make a greeting card and a matching ATC using the rubber band technique. Start with an 8x10 or larger cardstock. The rubber band technique is accomplished by wrapping rubber bands around a brayer or large stamping block. Roll the rubber bands really well in the ink - don't go back and forth cuz you won't get the whole rubber band inked. Make sure you roll ALL the way around in the ink. Or, if using a block, make sure to press the ink pad down hard on the rubber bands. Place on the cardstock and press down while rolling the brayer. Or press down hard while using the banded block. You can repeat the process as many times as you want... with the same color, or with different colors. I suggest doing a matching envelope to send with the card 🙂 Cut the cardstock into an A2 (4.25 x 5.5") size greeting card, and also cut a 2.5 x 3.5" piece of cardstock for the ATC. Finally embellish as you wish - but no sticker slapping. Make sure the backgrounds for the greeting card and ATC match. Add ALL swap info to the back of the ATC. - On a separate piece of paper, write a short note to your partner about the swap... did you like the technique? Why did you choose those colors? Do you like the way it turned out? Add ALL swap info to the note (see below) SWAP INFO: Your Name Name of Swap Date created Your SB name Title, if you have one. Posted: 7/7/24 |
