Let's celebrate the Winter Solstice (in the Northern Hemisphere) on December 21, the shortest day and the longest night of the year.

For this international swap you will create a little piece of art and send it to your partner together with a blessing, quote, or poem for the Winter Solstice. You choose what piece of art you would like to create as long as it has to do with the Winter Solstice. Do you think of the moon and the stars in the sky when it comes to the longest night of the year? Maybe for you the Winter Solstice has to do with candlelight, finding peace while the world becomes still, snow falling from the sky, or with specific colors like blue and white. You also decide what your artwork will be made of. Do you like crocheting? Perfect! Would you like to draw or paint something? Go ahead! You can craft with paper, or beads, or you can sew something. This is sender’s choice so you can start to create your piece of art as soon as you sign up for the swap. Please create something beautiful from your heart that will bring your partner joy and a special winter season feeling. As this is an international swap, it is totally fine to make something that fits in a normal size envelope so that you don’t have to pay enormous postage. On the other hand, if you like to create something larger and you are okay with higher postage, you can do that as well. Together with your artwork you will send your partner a Winter Solstice blessing, a poem, or a quote that has to do with winter. Please write it on a nice piece of paper, a notecard, or postcard, and include it in your envelope.
