Description:

We're working on the last card (#39) of the third suit of our deck of cards (the K of Spades) and the first card (#40) of the next suit (A of Diamonds).

We're following ShanoukiArt's YouTube videos to make the cards; she's made TWO full decks and we'll take our pick as to which two we want to follow from the Full Deck Challenge #1 or #2.

BE AWARE: for the full deck challenge 2, Shana is using spades and going from the K down to the A. You'll be using diamonds and starting with the A, and going UP to the K! This will ensure that everyone plays with the same cards and suits, no matter which challenge they pick to use. I've listed what the diamond cards are in the comment box below.

For the K of Spades (#39 in the series):

Full Deck Challenge 1

Full Deck Challenge 2

For the A of Diamonds (#40 in the series):

Full Deck Challenge 1

Full Deck Challenge 2

Whether ShanoukiArt does this or not in her vids:

The most IMPORTANT RULE for APCs is to have one corner showing both the number AND the suit - doesn’t matter which corner. This is NOT optional; they don't have to be bare, just need to be seen.

Your playing card must be Poker sized (3.5 x 2.5 inches) and have one corner showing. No need to copy her video exactly - make it your own, but do emulate her style and the effect she's going for, as much as you can. It should be recognizable as the card she's making. Let your partner know which challenge you picked to do.

Please DO NOT put a hole in the corner of the card - let your partner decide where, or if, she wants a hole in it. If you want to make things hang over the edges, please check that your partner doesn't mind. If not using a binder clip to save them, most people like to put them into the clear playing card holders.

It's up to you if you want to use a whole deck, or just the cards you have on hand (just join those ones in that case). But, for those of us who want to end up with a full deck, you MUST use the cards that are being represented in the the swap you play - see above change presented with challenge 2.

This month is using the K of Spades and the A of Diamonds, so everybody will send and get those cards.

You must belong to the Altered Playing Cards Only Group in order to join this swap.

Don't get confused!

For card # 39 in the full deck challenge AND the full deck challenge 2, the card is KING of Spades.

For card #40, the card used will be the Ace of Diamonds for both challenges. Shani will be using the spades instead of diamonds, just like she used the diamonds where we used the diamonds for the last deck in challenge 2.

We'll be using DIAMONDS for the last deck of cards.
