Description:

Attending the CZT 42 Seminar was so inspiring and made me want to create a library of tangle patterns to showcase during future classes.

My Zentangle journey was inspired by swaps similar to this one when I first signed up in 2011, so I wanted to dive in and get re-acquainted with familiar tangles and find new ones.

I figured this could be a series where we dive into tangle patterns and work our way through the alphabet. On my own this seems like a task I'll do occasionally but if I make it happy mail, I will be able to build my library of tangles, have a variety of artistic styles, AAND get happy mail. Win, Win, Win!!

Following the Zentangle guidelines we will use 3.5-inch square tiles.

Required: Use patterns that begin with the letter "B" to tangle a 3.5-inch square tile.

I'm trying to build a series to showcase during my Zentangle classes, so let's stick to the classic black ink on a white tile. (Your tile can be from the Zentangle store or handmade from cardstock.)

Once you have used black ink to tangle "B" patterns on your tile, shade using graphite.

https://tanglepatterns.com/category/b-tangles (You may also use tangle patterns from any other source you generally use.) In addition to the tangle pattern names you included on your tile, please include your swap-bot name and date on the back of your tile.

Place it in an envelope decorated with "B" tangles and send it to your partner.

Feel free to message if you have any questions or want an introduction to the Zentangle Method. If you are just beginning your Zentangle journey, visit www.zentangle.com for more information or reach out and I'd be happy to help.

I've opened the swap up to include everyone. 1 and 3 ratings will need to be justified and newbie profiles are welcome. If you don't receive a swap, reach out and I will angel for you.

Since this is the B tangle swap, the envelope and tile should have B tangles used on them.

Someone asked what kind of paper can be used for the tile. Zentangle tiles are great but you can use regular cardstock cut to 3.5 in squares.

Also, someone emailed to clarify this is a type 3 swap. I'm highlighting this here because emails clarified questions I thought everyone might benefit from.

What a fantastic initiative to build a library of tangle patterns! It’s inspiring to see how your Zentangle journey has evolved since 2011. I think creating a series focused on "B" patterns is a brilliant idea. In a way, it reminds me of the Cookie Clicker game—building up resources in small, enjoyable steps.
