Description:

This is an International Swap.

This swap is for one handmade 100% cotton dishcloth. It can either be knit or crochet. You will have one partner and will make one dish cloth. The plus part of the swap is to send your partner some tea bags (3 or 4 seems like a good amount). I have recently started drinking hot tea at night before I go night night. It really helps me unwind. (Plus I would like to have some different tea bags). : )

Do not wait for partners to be assigned. Choose any pattern and color of cotton yarn you would like and get started right away.

This is not an expensive swap to complete. Please do not use designer cotton yarns for this project. These dishcloths are meant to be useful and durable.

No swappers with less than a 4.8.

If you're a newbie and want to join you must have a fully completed profile. Make sure you list your likes and dislikes. Have fun...

I love this swap idea! I do have one question, though--some countries are very strict about letting plant materials across the border. One of my packages destined for Australia disappeared for this reason before I knew not to send tea. What should we do if we get a partner in a country with this type of regulation? I'm watching for now!

Hmm....maybe send a skein of yarn if that is the case? What does everyone else think would be a good alternative? I am open for suggestions. : )

Do you know if we can make this similarly to a fabric rug, with scrap fabric strips? I might try that...

The fabric rug sounds good. I received a dishcloth like this and it is great. So, yes, if you want to send one like that to your partner that is okey dokey. : )

I love homemade dishcloths/facecloths.... cotton yarn is my favorite these days. and I have cut WAY down on coffee (even though it's my favorite) so I have been drinking ALOT of tea lately. so this is a wonderful swap!!! I love purple!! and like all sorts of teas!! (my mom showed me the most amazing blooming flower tea...have you seen that yet?? it's wonderful!!) I hope everyone has a wonderful time with this swap!!
