Description: | |
I really love swapping... It gives me an outlet for my creativity and it has a deadline! So, some of my projects actually get finished. And, I don't have to find a home for my lovely goods, because that is built in. The only down side, is that I find myself not finishing some things that I really should be doing. For this swap you will make a list of projects you would like to complete- this should be broken down into something you can reasonably complete in the swap time allotted. Then you will pick one (or more as the inspiration hits you) and FINISH it. Then you should pack/ mail/ hang/ frame or do whatever it is you need to do to get it where it's supposed to be. For your partner you can send your list and a picture(s) of your completed project. Also include a short (or long if you're super windy) note about your project. Because there is not much to this swap, item or money wise, I'm going to say 3 partners and international. I will ban anyone with a rash of no sends, but won't put a rating limit. Also, since this is not tailored to your partner feel free to get started as soon as you sign up. Otherwise, there is one month to complete the swap. Example send (and yes, this is just an example, but I'm sure some of them could apply to many of us!!): 1- list 1. Finish the baby afghan for my nephew 2. make myself pants from that excellent fabric I bought 3 years ago 3. Scrapbook 3 months worth of pictures and use up some of those zillions of supplies I've bought. 4. Finish the brilliant manuscript that just needs an ending. 5. Write to my grandma. Then choose one- we'll use example number one. I would then proceed to finish the baby afghan. I would then take pictures of said fabulous afghan. Then I would wrap up the lovely afghan and maybe take another picture of it looking beautiful and finished. Then I would hightail it over to the post office (or my sister's house). And maybe even take a picture of my six year old nephew sitting on it (haha! because it's taken 6 years to finish, get it?) Finally, I would write a thing about choosing the afghan so my nephew could get it before college, include a copy of my list & my photos and post it off to my 3 partners. Or, if it only took me 15 minutes to finish I might choose another item off my list. |
