Kids should create one handmade postcard for each partner using any technique child selects--paint, pencil drawings, stickers, sewing, embellishments, collage---anything goes---just let the creative juices flow!

Card should be sturdy enough in design to be able to be mailed without being damaged. It is preferable that the card be mailed naked, without an envelope, but if an envelope is necessary to protect your card's well-being, that's fine too.

So a 4yo can make the postcards and it's acceptable.

It would be neat if they could write the message too, and maybe get a new penpal of their own!

Yes, my children are 3 & 4 that will be participating. If they are able to write their own message independently or with assistance from Mom or Dad, that would be great too!---And yes, perhaps the beginning of an ongoing penpal-ship! :-)
