Whispers from the past #2– historical letters in character “Dear sister, I finally arrived to Bath with Mrs. Darlington and Ms. Harvey. Mr Darlington was waiting us when we arrived, he was much in distress, because we were late due the weather. We were so pleased to get indoors. Weather have been really Foul. I don’t think we have seen Sun for days…†Do you like medieval life? Or is Victorian society your favourite? This swap is for people interested in history and/or rolegames. You will write two letters ‘in character’. You can choose the period of history, your character, circumstances etc. For example, you can write as solder, who has been sent to WWII or Victorian Lady, telling her newest rumours to her best friend. Hints and Guidelines: - write the letters from ‘this world’, no elves in Middle Earth or Witches from Diskworld. - Period can be from the past, present or future, you choose - Letter should be at least 2+ pages long - This is not a rule, but you could try to make your letter to look like a bit more ‘authentic’, Personally I’d not like to see typed letter on copypaper, unless the letter is from present/future. Parchment papers and calligraphy pens rocks ;-) - You can also send small ‘normal’ message along the letter with your address, if you would like to get a ‘in character’ reply to your letter. - You don’t need to reply to the letter you receive if you don’t want to. Rules: - This swap is international and newbie friendly. Everyone with fillet profile and ‘no-send’ can join! - Letters must be posted before end of the September -09 - You will have TWO partners Ps. This is my 2nd swap-moderation here, be gentle ;-). I am more than happy to answer question regarding this swap. |
