Description:

I know that many in the group are interested in the Day of the Dead (Dia de los Muertos). A holiday that is widely celebrated in Mexico and Latin America where friends and families believe it is easeir for the souls of those past to communicate with their loved ones during this time period. Mainly a happy celebration to remember the lives of their loved ones departed.

A common symbol of The Day Of The Dead is a skull and skeletons. Sugar skulls are sweet treats handed out to both the living and dead in celebration. Sugar skulls have become very popular art wise and I thought making a skinny for a partner might be a fun way to help celebrate this wonderful tradition.

For this swap you will send one Skinny to one partner. A skinny is just like an ATC, but larger in size. A Skinny's measurements are 3 x 5 inches. Created and put together as you would a normal ATC just with the size difference.

The Skinny should have a clear Day Of The Dead theme featuring a decorative sugar skull. If you have any questions about what a sugar skull is or what some look like, simply type sugar skull into the search engines on Etsy, Ebay or Flickr and you'll see lots of examples. Day Of The Dead is celebrated with bright, bold, happy colors.

Please make and send something that you can be proud of. Something that you would be thrilled to receive yourself. Put time and effort into it to make something wonderful for your partner.

This is a HYR Group Member Swap only. You must meet group requirments to join in on the swap. No Flaking will be tolerated.
