Description: | |
For this swap you will create a tea booklet of those refreshing fruity teas, and a bookmark to go along with it! Using a piece of heavy paper about the size of a regular sheet of notebook paper, (cardstock, scrapbook paper, construction paper etc), fold it in half to create a card. This should fit into a smaller padded brown mailing envelope, about 6x9. Decorate the front as simply or decoratively as you like, being sure to include the name Tea Booklet and Bookmark Swap somewhere on the cover. Inside, on the right, attach 6 different individually wrapped fruit flavored tea bags, in two columns of three, going down. (tape or whatever...a food safe adhesive) On the left side of the page, tell a little bit about yourself, the area where you live, and something about the teas. (particularly if they are going to someone in another country, and are not written in English, be sure to tell them what flavors they are!) If there is something special you love about the teas, or tea in general, an interesting or funny story you have about tea, an unusual way you enjoy them, etc, include that. I also like to punch a hole along the edge and tie it shut with a ribbon. Next, you will make each partner one bookmark which relates somehow to tea drinking. You might make a collage of tea bag wrappers, or tea logos, or you might write a "tea" quote on there, mod-podge several sweet teapot pictures, or turn a photo you have into a bookmark, or even relate back to the fruits in the teas you have sent, you might use a pretty ribbon and tie a teapot charm on one end...use your creativity! You have lots of time to work on this, so don't just put a sticker on a strip of card stock and mail it out. This is sender's choice, so we can all start making them now. If you have a type of tea you especially enjoy, or one you really dislike or to which you are allergic, mention it here in the comments. Be sure to check here before you send yours out, as well. You will have two swap partners, and you will be sending one tea booklet of six teas and one bookmark to each partner. This is an international swap, so be aware when signing up that postage might run a little more. Be sure to rate on whether the swap was finished correctly, and on time, not whether you like the particular teas sent. Since we won't need to match this to profiles, give a heart if your partner includes an extra tea bag or two, or bookmark, or sends it out the first day or two of the swap, includes a poem or something they have written, or has obviously worked extra hard to make it special....be heart generous. :) (I want to thank Tatiana (tatipop) for the booklet idea. How lovely!) You must be rated 4.8 or higher and have a filled out profile. No unexplained ones or threes in the past three months. You must have completed 3 swaps, excluding e-mail swaps. |
