Association CD

This swap is inspired by a radio program that I listen to regularly. You will make one CD for one partner, with a minimum of 15 songs. Each song should related by some association to the song before it. Here are some examples and suggestions:

• A cover of the previous artist/band/song (first song by artist X, second song a cover of artist X by artist Y).

• same/similar title (how many songs are there called Mrs./Mr. Jones, both have the word Mama in the title...).

• subject matter (could be anything, a song about trees, a song about the colour blue...).

• A song from a solo album by one of the musicians from the previous band (say something by Dire Straits and then a song by Mark Knopfler).

Or you can come up with any other connection or association you like. The association can be personal to you (both songs remind you of summer holidays, the two best songs in the world to drive with) and as strange as you like as long as you can describe the connection. Add a list of songs and artists, with a short description as to how each track connects to the song before it.

As always with CD swaps, try and make the CD work, use songs that you like and that work together, try to make a disk you would like to listen to!

The format can be MP3 or audio CD (some CD players won't play a MP3 disk), if you have a preference to receive either one, state it here.

Swap is international - you can make a simple, lightweight case by folding a piece of heavy cardboard around your CD and taping it up, and postage is more or less the same as a letter or post card.
