NO GOOGLING AND PRINTING THE FIRST THING THAT COMES UP unless youve already field tested it! You have to be sending somethings that you've tried before and you know are good recipies. Decorate the recipie cards if you want. No size regulations. Just not to big and not too small. If you are a vegan and do not want any recipies that require dairy or eggs, comment so that whoever gets you will send vegan recipies. Newbies and meateaters welcome but flaky looking people will get banned. Send some vegan or vegetatian literature, or stickers, or pamphlets, pins, etc if you have them to make it extra special. We gotta support eachother :]

I was wondering, in the swap description it says you send to two partners but then it only lists one swap partner. I'm just wondering which it is.

Love it! As a vegan I'm always on the look out for recipes. No dairy, eggs, or fish please!

I am vegan also!

I am vegetarian, not vegan. I would love to join but wouldn't be able to send any vegan recipes...does that matter if I send Vegetarian recipes to vegans?

If you get a vegan as a partner, you would need to send them recipies that they could use, so yeah it would have to be vegan. Maybe you could slightly alter recipies that you know are good? like write that you have to use vegan cheese or egg replacer instead of the real things..I suppose it depends on the recipies.. Something like deviled eggs would be hard to change from veggie to vegan.

I am also vegan and want to receive vegan recipes.

It is easy enough to replace butter with Earth Balance, for example, but as was mentioned if you send a recipe for deviled eggs there really is no way for me to make that vegan. Same with something like a souffle, or other recipe that predominately features only eggs and dairy. I personally feel it would be unfair if a person has specifically requested vegan recipes and are sent ones that are not workable at all.

If you are not vegan, please try to consider recipes of yours that do not use either dairy or eggs as a main feature. Perhaps ones where those non-vegan items are merely an addition at the end. Something topped with cheese where the vegan person may choose to use a vegan-cheese or not use the cheese at all (my preference, honestly).

I approached vegan cooking in the beginning as an exercise that focused NOT on what I was "leaving out", but rather an exciting chance to learn a new cuisine. I hope this swap can be a very positive opportunity for non-vegans to explore cooking strict vegetarian food.
