Description:

I haven't seen this swap yet but I'm sure it's somewhere...

In my family, in the past, we held Christmas get-togethers and instead of buying a lot of gifts we had a White Elephant Christmas. This is where you wrap a "gift" and it's assigned a number and people draw numbers randomly and get the gift that corresponded to the number they drew. The real game goes on to get a bit rowdy and abusive if someone brings a really nice item that people would fight over (ie: lotto tickets, candles, or lotions that don't stink).

We won't be fighting over presents but we will be sending a present(or presents) that would equal no less than $5 and no more than $10, that does NOT have to fit in recievers profile or wishlists. Repeat: No need for wishlists as ratings do not depend on partners profiles. White elephant is for FUN, not for what is necessary, needed, or wanted. :) That's not to say you can't send something a person would find ABSO FABO, just not part of the rules. :)

One partner - USA only - $5 to $10 - Remember to state name of swap in correspondence.

PM me if you'd like to do an International Swap like this!

Hearts are awesome! They make me smile and I give them often!

We play a game like this with friends at Christmas, we call it "Yankee Swap", and it's a blast, it's so funny and cut-throat..someone always ends up bringing a scratch lottery ticket, and we all fight over that, everyone wants to steal it away from the others..and it usually doesn't end up being a winner, but it's the fun of it that makes it a great game....

@candigirl ..

We call ours a "Yankee Christmas!" (though maybe that is because I am from the South originally). Only ours is always funny because someone brings and wraps a set of handcuffs every year.

I remember one year, the gift that got "stolen" the most was one of those cool interchangeable screwdrivers with a flat head, phillips head, etc.

"don't know if it's a concern or not, but you have this swap classified as a type two rather than a type three, and this definitely wasn't a flat mail."

My response:

"Turds and whey!! I didn't think about that... I was just thinking about how it's NOT email!! Oh no.. you don't think people will only send in an envelope? EEEeeep!! I sent mine in a flat rate box. Crazypurplelady is going to have a full mailbox when she gets hers!"

And I made this a #3 after the fact.. LOL.. no sense in doing that!! I'm sure everything will be fine though! :)
