Description:

For this swap you will have one partner, to whom you will send something you write on the topic of "fall or winter holidays". It may be very specific, or general and vague, as long as it concerns fall or winter holidays in some way.

FIRST: buy yourself some type of journal. Anything you like. This will be used for other swaps as well. (If this works out)

When partners are assigned, PM your partner, the one to whom YOU send (you have THEIR address), and give them your address. They will mail you their journal. You will write your piece directly in THEIR journal, and mail it back to them. Meanwhile, you have sent someone YOUR journal, and they are writing in it. If this works out, we will do another swap later the same way... eventually you will have a journal full of interesting and varied writings.

This time you may write in any format with which you are comfortable ... a poem, a short story, a letter, a song, a children's story... whatever you can think of. There is no size requirement. The purpose is to get us writing, not to demand structure and rigidity (at least not THIS time. Next time we may be more specific :) And not to receive the same as we have sent. We write for ourselves, not for others. (I might actually put what I send out into my own journal as well, after the swap.)

You may add another creative element to your writing if you want to (an illustration, a small item similar to something in your written work, or a photo, etc) This is not a requirement, but could make your swap more interesting.

Rate based on whether requirements are met, not whether you liked the writing. Hearts are at the discretion of the receiver. If I feel like the person put forth effort, or they just really made me smile, I like to give a heart.

I don't think we need any other limits or rules within this group. I trust everyone here to do a spectacular job.

BE READY TO MAIL OUT YOUR ORIGINAL BLANK JOURNAL NOVEMBER 12TH! Keep in touch with me...We will extend the deadline if it looks like it's taking too much mail time. You can start writing your piece any time.

If no one likes the idea of sending out a journal first, we can change it and just do a writing swap. (Seemed like a fun idea at midnight! :)
