Round #4!!!!

Please read the entire swap description before signing up, so that you know exactly what you are signing up for! :o)

Requirements: Send your partner at least 15 used books. They can be paperback or hardback. Pack them up in a box, and send the package Media Mail rate! This swap is restricted to the United States only because the boxes will be heavy and postage would be huge for international mailing.

This swap is for adult books, not children's books.

Please when you sign up, post a message to the swap thread that lists what genres you like to read, and what you don't like. Your partner isn't required to send you specific titles, authors or types of books because they might not be available at their local thriftstore or used bookshop. But please --- if your partner lists that they don't like romance novels don't send them an entire box of old Harlequins. Send out a package you would enjoy receiving!

You can get your books at whatever venue you prefer for used books (thrift shop, used bookstore, library sale, or your own "already read'' bookshelf)......look for books you think your partner would enjoy. PLEASE send books that aren't damaged....water damage, mold, ripped/missing/loose pages, spine damage, etc. Used condition is expected, but let's not send out obviously damaged sub-par books!!!

Please use Delivery Confirmation on your package. DC provides proof of mailing (date and time) AND the tracking number makes it easier for the postal system to trace and find stray packages. Media Mail does take just a bit longer because MM is only loaded on trucks when there is extra room.....so a DC# will also let your partner know when the box is coming so he/she knows when to start stalking their mail man. :) I have received some MM packages extremely quickly so delivery time can be varied. A DC# is a way to ensure that your partner knows his/her package is on its way, even if the post office takes extra time to actually deliver it.

Don't include anything in your package but the books. media mail rate packages can only include Media items like books. No notes, no tea.....nothing extra. The post office can inspect the packages to be sure they qualify as media mail. If anything is found besides books, your partner can be charged the extra postage or the package might be returned to you.

Have fun picking out some really cool books for your swap pal.....don't just grab a handful of old harlequins out of a 10 cent bin and call it done. Make it fun for yourself.....and your partner! Be discriminating!

PLEASE don't sign up for this swap if you are not absolutely sure you can send out a package on time. PLEASE don't flake out on your partner. PLEASE by all means join us if you LOVE to read, and LOVE finding great books at bargain prices, and if you LOVE to share books with friends!

Swappers must have at least a 4.8 rating to participate in this swap. No newbies, and swappers must have ratings for package swaps (email and postcards don't count). Please no 1 or 3 ratings in the past 6 months. If you have a low rating and it can be explained, message me.

I do check profiles.....anyone who doesn't fit the requirements will be removed before partners are assigned.

Any questions?? Message me!

Things I like: Mystery/ thriller (Like Greg Iles, but I have most of his books), Girly books (like Jane Green and Jennifer Weiner, but I have most of their books too), cookbooks, craft books, Things I do not like: Romance Novels, Biographies, Autobiographies Can't wait for this one!!

My biggest like is HUMOR: Humorous mysteries, humorous romances, humorous sci-fi/fantasy, humorous paranormal, parodies and anything you'd find in the humor section. I also like fun fact/info books, urban paranormal, mystery in general, home decorating, art (but not instruction), fiction anthologies (such as "best of the year...", "greatest...") and holiday collections

I'm not a big fan of cookbooks, auto/biographies, horror and dull history books (this wouldn't include a book titled something like, "interesting facts about the civil war." That would be okay!) Also, if you must send romance, I'd prefer it to fit into one of my like categories (paranormal romance, mystery romance, etc) or be a romance published before 1979. I have an amazon wishlist on my profile (for a general idea) if this list is too specific. :)

This should be interesting !!!!! I have 30,000 used books in my own used book business so I probably could make some lucky individual very happy. As for books I want. I don't really need any but I do like US travel related books and anything NON-FICTION. (I prefer nice children's books for my daughter but this swap says no children's books, boo-hoo. I don't read much about anything that is not true. Surprise me or just send nice kids books anyway!!!

I also like craftbooks, like papercrafts, cardmaking ect. Things I can adapt to use with my daughter.

I especially like books that are based on a true story or non-fiction books. I like it if I can learn something interesting in an enjoyable way. So a well-researched novel is good, too. Especially mystery novels. Or something about nature or travel. Or any good Christian books. I can read English and German fluently. You can also look at my Bookcrossing wishlist and my Amazon wishlist linked in my profile to get a better idea what books I might like. Oh, and I'd like craft books about paper crafts as well.

Please no horror or paranormal or New Age or anything like that.

I read just about every genre but romance novels. My favorites are historical fiction (real HF, not romance novels disguised as HF...lol), sci-fi, mystery, ghost stories and supernatural horror (not gory/slasher stuff though), classics and humor. I also enjoy low fat/healthy cookbooks and healthy crockpot cookbooks. I crochet and knit, so craft books along those lines are awesome too! :o)

I LOVE romance, but something more substantial than harlequins like historical romance. I love vampire themed books (have read anne rice and working on anita blake series and christine feehan dark series). I generally don't read nonfiction except trivia books and funny humorous stories. I like fantasy and fairy tales. I don't read mysteries and I do have a tiny collection of cookbooks (mostly healthy). Feel free to check out my profile for more!

I like craft books (handmade books and musical instruments, papermaking, sewing stuffed toys and small fabric items, easy knitting/crocheting with patterns for amigurumi and small crafts, making cultural and ethnic crafts from different countries), manga rated "older teen 16+" or "mature 18+," vegetarian and ethnic cookbooks, photojournals, fiction that is written outside the USA or takes place outside the USA.

I don't like romance, textbooks, history, war, politics, computers, crime, self-help, biography, autobiography, horror.

Note to my partner: CDs and DVDs are also media mail, so if you want to include some original (not burned) discs instead of sending just books, that's fine with me.
