Description:

Winter Whimsy Vintage Style! You will take one jar 8oz and fill it with fun winter inspiration for your partner. I chose winter instead of Christmas so you could encompass the entire season. Snowmen, mittens, Christmas, sledding, snowflakes, anything that reminds you of winter! Try to think of things that will give your partner inspiration for their projects. Some ideas to include would be: Glitter Winter images Ribbons Buttons Charms Trinkets Bottlecaps Stickers It is senders choice, but it is nice to check out your partner's profile to coordinate with their likes. If they decorate shabby chic, maybe you want to go with pink, aqua and silver. If they just love Christmas you might want to go more red and green. If they collect Snowmen, perhaps blue, white and silver would be more your theme. Your jar should be festive, but does not have to be completely covered or decorated. It can be plastic or glass. All Group rules apply!

I have never tried a Whimsey jar. Where do you find an 8 oz jar? How do you mail it? Thanks.

I've always wanted to do a Whimsy Jar, but have just never gotten around to it. Maybe I'd better do this one, you think? =) Especially since you changed it to an 8 oz. jar.I just happen to have the jar.

An 8oz jar is any jar that holds about a cup of liquid. It can be glass or plastic, just a little container. You can mail it in a small box, you just add in little bits and pieces of things that remind you of winter or winter colors, themes etc. I might include some buttons, a charm or two, some ribbons and trims in my color theme, maybe some glitter, stickers, chipboard or other embellishments, it is really a really fun way to share some of your stash, and it challenges you to put together a pretty palette :O) I actually have had some people contact me in my shop to put together whimsey jars for them based on color palettes to be used as art.
