Description:

Have you ever felt a wee bit melacholy when you awaken on December 26th? After all the hub bub and hoopla of preparing for Christmas, then POOF in one day it's all over! Christmas Day will have come and gone. The gifts opened, the wrapping paper neatly removed, pressed, and refolded to use again next year (tee hee). All the Christmas TV and radio programs will be off the air for another year.

So how do you keep the holiday cheer the week after Christmas?

Open your "Week After Christmas" swap items, of course! You will each have 1 partner to send a package of small, wrapped gift items. Please send at least 5 items, but you can send 7 if you'd like. Items can be store-bought, or handmade. They can be holiday or everyday items. Sender's choice. This doesn't have to be too pricey (total $5-$10 range).

This will be a quick turn around swap. Last day for sign up is 12/5, last day for sending 12/11. This doesn't have to be profile specific, so you can gather your items before partners are assigned.

Guidelines

Must have been rated for 10 separate snail mail swaps 4.8 rating or higher No 1's or 3's within the past 6 months without a valid explanation Quality- only send items that you would be overjoyed to receive

Make sure your profile is WELL filled out. Just in case your partner wants to send profile based items.

This is the first non-private swap I've hosted, so let me know if I've forgotten anything.

Well, when it's senders choice, the receiver may get stuff that they really really cannot use.

Jerilyn - Thank you. I appreciate your input and feelings. I would love to have you in this swap, but I will totally understand if you choose not to join. I set the swap as sender's choice due to the quick turn around time. If I am able to host this swap again next year, I will try to set it up sooner. Thanks again.

if the items aren't needed by the swapper you can always pass them on, just think about the fun of the swap. sounds like fun. thanks for hosting.

I think with quick turn-around sender's choice is fine. I think like you said next year you can set it up earlier and be more profile based. Some people like sender's choice, some don't. That's life and that's fine.

I think you've done a good job on setting it up. :)

I'm just a few swaps shy of the minimum. Too bad...

faye faye - there may be other swappers who don't quite qualify. If so, I will let you know, and perhaps you will be able to set up a similar private swap.

This is on my watchlist for now. It is a great idea as everyone needs a little help to de-stress from the holidays. :-) Sender's choice are always great in my opinion. If I don't need something (rarely happens) I always pass it along until it finds a good home. Thank you for hosting!

Me, too... even profile based gifts are not always right. But there's always something you can do with it...

Thank you all for your encouragement. Hopefully those of you who are watching will be able to join in the fun.
