Description:

Swap-bot users usually participate in swaps that fit their interests. But it's hard not to! So why not share your interest to get another person started? & be open-minded to trying new things? Send your partner a kit to help them get started on your hobbie. For example:

• A crafter can send a "how-to" book that teaches them what they need to know/do, & the supplies needed to do that particular craft for someone who can't sew without poking their finger.

• A kawaii collector can send some kawaii goodies to someone who don't have any kawaii stores near them &/or can't order online. Let alone know what kawaii is!

• An artist can send some drawing/decorating materials & an example of their work to someone who can only create stick figures.

• A souvenir/postcard collector can send some things they have gotten in their travels to someone that has never gotten out of their small farm for a town.

• A foodie/cook/recipe swapper can send a couple of recipes &/or recipe book, along with some mailable & edible goodies to someone who eats ramen 3 meals a day.

These are just some basic ideas I find mostly on swapbot. But there are endless possibilities. Dancing, photography, gardening, ETC! So don't get discouraged if you get partnered with someone who seems to already have the same interest as you. You cannot pick which hobbie you get! So no requests! Because you never know what will end up interesting you. But please check your partner's profile, just in case if you might need to turn to your "back-up hobbies".

The package should be $10 excluding shipping. International. Swappers with a rating of 4.8 or higher only, & no more than 1 no send. Newbies are welcomed if they have a full profile & message me first. Let me know if you have any questions((: Have funï¼?

Does the $10 have to be all new items? The hobby I am thinking about passing along has a lot of items I could make to contribute to it... or should we only count new items towards the $10 limit?

Hi Jesse, what kinds of used items are you thinking of? If it's like some used crafting supplies, stationery & such, it's okay. but please make sure the whole package does not consist of onlee used items, there should be some new things in there too :D

CandyStar 07/19/2007 #

Hahaha I don't want to give away what my hobby is...

But some items include a little paper booklet (I was going to handmake this), and maps/instructions/directions I could print out from my computer, and also a small ziplock container, which I would feel weird sending a whole package, when they only really need 1.... it would be new but not in like the package or anything. o.O

I'm sure I could come up with $10 along with the handmade items, but I was just making sure that we could include both

(I'm telling you - mine is gonna be the most completely AWESOME swap of all of these. It's definitely going to be the most original and unique. BWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!)

Mo0fin 07/20/2007 #

Okay great [= But don't forget, you'll have to compete with me! rofl.

CandyStar 07/21/2007 #

That would be really funny if you and I were partners.

If not, though, I am so sending you a message and telling you what mine is, to see if yours matches.

Lol, who knows? It would be funny though :P

Well I just looked through the profiles of the participants of this swap, & like half of them are already into what I was going to send. Darn my backup will a bit less awesome.

CandyStar 07/25/2007 #

My hobby isn't listed on my profile... because it's a seeecret (shh!!).

I'm just hoping that the hobby I'm thinking of won't be something that bothers anyone. It's not a crafty hobby but something a bit more... unusual. bites lip

This is awesome! I started the Stuffie Starter Swap to get people who are otherwise apprehensive about trying something new to just go for it! I'm looking forward to sharing one of my many obsessions/hobbies with other swappers!

mortaine 08/ 3/2007 #
