Description:

I love recieving coins from foreign countries. So, this will be an international swap. You will have 2 partners and you can send them a few coins from a foreign country, particularly yours-if possible.

This is the first time I've done a swap, so I hope there will be a mix of different countries. I know I live in the USA, and have some extra Canadian coins as well as American.

If two people of the same country get paired up, be creative....hit coins shops for inexpspensive coins and currency exchanges or maybe you have extra coins from traveling abroad.

NO NO SENDS or NOTHING below a 4.7

Hi, I'm interested in this, but do you think there are going to be any problems with sending "cash" in the mail?

Hey Blondie78, not to cause trouble but I work for the US Postal Service and it is not legal to send money (coins or paper) to all countries. I didn't remember this when I signed up for the swap, but I was looking up what I couldn't send on a different international swap and under prohibited items, coins and currency were listed for that particular country. You can go to www.usps.gov, go to shipping a package, then select first class international, and at the bottom on the left, select International Mail Manual. On that page go to the last column on the right and find your country. If it's prohibited, I guess you need to be creative on the customs form (yes, you'll need to fill one of those out) and say it's a souvenier. Anyhow, I thought you should be forwarned. You can e-mail me personally and I'll be glad to help you with your situation.

I just checked on my two recipients. One country said it was okay but it had to be sent registered mail, and the other one said not allowed.

Hi; I have checked and it is prohibited to send coins to Portugal; nevertheless, I have received coins in the past with no problems whatsoever. To my knowledge, it shouldn't pose any kind of problem as long as the coins are well concealed. This said, to my partners, please ignore the prohibition if you may. :)

Quite honestly, that is what I thought. If the coins were concealed, than I figured it would not be a problem.
