For our first Whimsey Jar, I thought we would go with a "Things with Wings" theme. Think birds, owls, fairies, ladybugs, butterflies, ANYTHING with wings! Fill and decorate a medium sized jar with smallish items related to our winged friends. Because this swap is international, I am not going to insist it is a glass jar, because I know they can be pricey to mail. But it MUST be a nice jar! I have seen really cute clear square jars out there that would be great. Jar can be filled with candies, stationary, buttons, brads, ribbons, ANYTHING related to the theme. Be creative and only sends what you would like to receive. And the jar does not have to overly decorated, sometimes some ribbon and a tag is enough! To answer a couples of questions that have came my way.... Jar size... I would say a medium sized jar is about the size of a jam jar. There is no EXACT size, use your own judgement :) One winged friend or a mix.... My original intention was a mix, but if you notice your partner LOVES butterflies, I'm sure receiving one that is all butterflies would make their day! Again for this question, enders discretion. But you could put in the comments what you prefer. |
