Check out this page to see the interesting days we can celebrate together in February. The original idea for this swap was from @craftygirl who hosts something similar monthly! She has given us permission to use and alter it. :) For this swap you will choose at least 3 of the unique holidays listed at the above site, and figure out something to send your partner to help celebrate those days. So, 3 items total. At least one of the items must be "literary" in nature. (more, if you can work it out, since we are all such bibliophiles and bookworms!) It does not necessarily need to be a book (although it could be), but something related to books...book plates, a bookmark, etc. There are some truly awesome days there... it will be hard to choose only 3. (Feel free to do more) Check it out, even if you don't do the swap. Your gifts cannot all be stickers or cards... and while one item could potentially apply to more than one day, you must have at least three separate items in the package. Make it a diverse and interesting parcel, something really fun to open (although, with this group, a box of books and tea would probably be considered a gift from Heaven!) It doesn't need to cost a lot of money. You can find plenty of fun things that are inexpensive or even hamdmade, and even postage needn't cost you a fortune... feel free to keep it small in size. I won't put a minimum cost on here. It may cost you just a few dollars, or you might want to spend more. But it WILL take a little thought and organization on your part to make it special. The key is make it a package you would love to receive, something that will really make your partner smile. So... one partner, one package, at least 3 items which represent three unique holidays. (at least one of those will be somehow book-related) And don't forget to include a little note telling why you chose each item (what day they represent), the swap name, and your swap-bot ID. Got it? No one in our group should have unexplained ones or threes, so everyone should be able to join. PM if you have questionable ratings... Flakers will be ousted from the group, so don't flake!! We want to keep our Cup and Chaucer family together! |
