Hi. Just wondering if there is a reason why there is such a long period between the last day to signup/drop and to send by. Did you mean to put March 13?

I have so much stuff to send! This sounds like great fun and a nice break from all the ATC's I've been swapping. :)

Can some one explain why the date has changed?

has anyone received a person to send the package to yet? or do we have a week left for them to be chosen?

@missmashed - Yes, there's a week left. The sign-up-by date is 31st Jan. Therefore on the 31st - sometimes the day after - the co-ordinator usually emails everyone to tell them their partners have been selected (by computer, by random). Then you log in to Swap-Bot, come to this swap, and in the box in the top right-hand corner, there'll be a link saying "See who your partners are". Click that and a new window will open with your partner's details. Hopefully you'll get someone in an exciting new-to-you country. :)

Mine does not have a "See who your partner is" and I was told I have a partner?????

@pandessa sent you a PM-please check your message box. You are in the USA version of this swap and partners were assigned today. The international version does not have a signup date until the end of the month, therefor partners have not yet been assigned. Thanks.

After signing up for the swap, How do i get my swap partner?

After the deadline, Profiles are checked and partners are randomly assigned. Go to your dashboard, click on the swap you want, then look for the yellow box at the top right side of the page that says something like, click here to see your partners. Then click on your partners user name to see their Profile. Also, this is where you will click here when your swap is sent, and also the rate your partners and host link is here.

The size of the enveloppe, is it in inches? So just that I can mesure it :)

For those of you choosing to send regular envelopes please note that United States shipping requirements do not allow thick envelopes to be mailed using just one stamp (for those mailing from the states). In addition if they exceed the weight limit or are of uneven thickness they will be kicked back or your partner may have to pay the additional cost of shipping. If your envelope is thick or heavy please send via post office so that the exact cost can be calculated properly and your swap maybe hand canceled if necessary.

Is there someone who know what the anvelope size is in cm?

4 x 9 inches is approximately 10 x 23 cm.

Just to let you all know.... I find using those yellowish orange color envelopes or even the more secure with bubbles inside. These will not rip or burst open, but those long white business envelopes will burst open and tear. I was in the USA swap and used the bigger Manilla color envelope. I stuffed it very good. My swap partner received it and enjoyed it too. Lets think about postage cost on this. It can be a little spendie.

The host has to check through the profiles before she assigns partners - there are 134 so it may take a day or two!

i will be droping from the swap if partners not are asign for by tomorrow.

Hi everyone, Just as an FYI-Swap-bot gives the host a week to assign partners. And yes, the host has to check each individual profile. Since it has not even been 13 hours since the swap has closed for sign ups it is a bit premature for anyone to be worrying about them not being assigned. As a general rule, my partners are assigned the first day after sign up closes.

I guess those worrying are from Europe, like me :) We are a bit ahead, it seems! And I don't think that the ones worrying have had that in mind. But, holy cow, am I looking forward to it! :)

Will everyone one be paired with someone from a country differing from them? Is there not enough?

I just got my partner, I've nearly finished my envelope already :D I can't wait to get my first ever envelope!

No, your 4 x 9 envelope should be stuffed. If you need 50 items to do it, that's okay. If you need 5 items to stuff it, that's okay. Depends on the items and their size.
