Description:

This a swap to make a quilt square in "Partner's Requested Color" theme. This is the 2nd in a series of 9 swaps. We will probably have an electronic 10th swap to trade pictures of the finished quilts.

The finished square is a 12 inch block. Any medium, any pattern, as long as it's cloth. This is sender's choice, PARTNERS requested color. Please add what main color you'd like this quilt block to be made with below in comments. Of course, other colors can be used, but make the majority of your block reflect your partner's preference.

You can use any pattern, any block design.

It can be any format as well: Crazy Quilt, Art Quilt, Applique...whatever you'd like as long as the finished dimension is 12 inch block.

This will be for an "unfinished block"....do not finish it out with batting or backing b/c it will be added to a larger quilt...so, you will be making one quilt block top. :-)

So, to recap:

•One 12" quilt block top

•Do not finish out with batting or backing

•Any pattern, format

•Theme is: Partner's requested color

•And no flaking or you will be bounced from CW & reported

•Have fun!

I would love my block made with blues.:-)

Marata 01/11/2010 #

My choice of colors would be water or sky colors....

Where is everyone??? I hope that others have some great ideas and are anxious to share blocks.

@Marata - we have 4 watchers, so they could just be waiting for the completion of other swaps before joining.:-D

purples for me, please :D

pandessa 02/ 7/2010 #

black and orange for me please!

I would especially love anything in peacock-y colors: blue, turquoise, green, purple....

I like rich, cool, jeweltone colors--cobalt blue, emerald green, sapphire blue, amethyst purple, ruby red, metallic silver, copper or gold touches. Cobalt blue and white are always good for a quilt block.

Please no orange, tan, ecru, off-white, avocado or other 70s or warm colors.

When you say the "finished square" do you mean it should measure 12.5" so when sewn with the other blocks it would finish at 12"?
