Description:

Where does your mail arrive?

I enjoyed the 'Photo-a-day' swap that I participated in not that long ago, and my last photo was of my letterbox, so I am inspired to see everyone elses. I love the different letterboxes from around the world and would love to see what everyone has.

So you need to take a photo of your letterbox. You will have 3 partners. On the back of the photo you need to write your home town and a brief description of the letterbox. My letterbox has a history, so I will write about that. If yours doesn't have anything at all to write about, just put how long it has been your mail collector, and maybe something about the things it has seen. The description needs to have at least a little lengh. Not 2 words or anything.

This is my first swap, so I hope it works ok.

Newbies allowed, and anyone else with a 4.5 rating and above. Im sick of people who join up and dont send as promised. So please dont bother joining up if you have no intention of following through. Anyone else who want to join may message me first. I will still go through everyone and delete questionable swappers.

Happy Swapping, and any questions, feel free to ask.

And before anyone asks...... yes, it is international.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHG SIC!!!! Not nice, not nice not nice!!!

I was liek "OMGAWSH SOMEBODY DID A LETTERBOXING SWAP" and I clicked and this is about mailboxes. You are such a tease!!! hahahahahaha.....

(no one knows what I'm talking abuot, do they?)

Letterboxing is a somewhat secret hobby... like, you're not supposed to tell people... but involves hiding boxes in parks and on cliffsides and going on treasure hunts to find them and leave people messages....

And I was like omgawsh somebody finally found a way to put letterboxing and swapping, the two coolest things in the whole universe, together.

But ... sadly no. hahaha.

And I would join this swap but nobody would want to know about my mailbox. It's booooring, hahahaha. I'm number 6, though!!! ;)

LOL I also sent a photo of my local mailbox for the Photo-a-Day swap - from the Friday of the postal strike here, with my mail sitting there uncollected.

BTW in the UK the letterbox is the slot in your front door through which your mail is delivered. The object in the street into which you put mail to be collected is the postbox, or in some cases the pillar box. Another case of 'divided by a common language'. :-)

Candy Star - you could start a letterboxing/geocaching swap. I haven't tried them yet, but I've thought about it as they seem fun things to do.

Photos of your front door with your mail slot would work for this one spinjenny. I have been to England. All the boxes are good. Especially the phone boxes. Just like Dr Who! Yikes, showing my age. The original, not the new one!

And Jesse, boring mailboxes are just as fun. Come on...... Join up!!! :)

Yes spinjenny that would make a great picture ~ I love pictures of doors and windows ~ does that make me a closet voyeur? I love my mailbox ( as we Canucks call them )Im signing up.
