Description:

I really love inchies. They are easy to make, fun, and require a single stamp to send. So, I enjoy hosting inchie swaps.

You can use glitter, fibers, paint, colored pencils, collage, anything you can think of to make these...

You will make 6 inchies for one partner.

They must be of Butterflies or pertaining to butterflies.

Please make your inchies sturdy. You can use cereal box matierial to make them nice and strong.

Please send something you would like to recieve.

I have made this swap international due to requests and the small amount of postage it will cost to send.

Any chance of making this international, please? They wouldn't cost much to post. I love butterflies!

Please tell me...what is an inchie ?

twobluecrows 01/26/2010 #

An inchie is a small piece of art--1" x 1". They can be mixed media: ie collages, assemblages, etc, or paintings, drawings, fabric art, embroideries, polymer clay, wood: ie pyrography, or carvings, any kind of art you like to make.

They are collected for their art's sake, and also made to use as embellishments for larger mixed media art pieces, greeting cards, ATCs, etc.

Collectors can store them in slide protector sheets with are plastic sheets with 1 1/2" pockets designed for photo slides that are punched for a three-hole binder..

"They must be of Butterflies or pertaining to butterflies." Does that mean, wings, caterpillars, cocoons etc?
